Creating engaging content for social media

Our MD Sam Jones recently delivered the keynote speech at the Marketing Masterclass Series. The event was a great success with marketing professionals from various industries attending to share best practices and ways to develop their marketing strategy. If you couldn’t make the event, here’s a brief overview of Sam’s presentation.

If you’re going to create content then you need to think about the following:

  • Why are you creating it? Don’t just create it for the sake of it, have a strategy behind it.
  • Don’t over think it, sometimes you can spend too much time trying to think out the box and then you miss the opportunity.
  • Does it align with your brand values? If you’re not sure, then it’s probably best not to do it.
  • Is it actually something your audience wants to see and engage with? Otherwise, you’re just second-guessing. Analytics can help with this, spot trends and use your data to amplify your content.

But most of all have fun! Content which people can relate to and laugh at because this is the content that gets the most engagement.
